The Sorenson Multi-Cultural Center
Located in Salt Lake City's Glendale area (855 West California Avenue / 1300 South), the
Sorenson Center offers many recreational and
educational opportunities for young people. Youth programs
include:
After-School and Summer
Open to children in kindergarten through sixth grade. Activities include swimming, arts and crafts, cooking,
computer clubhouse, field trips, social skills and community service.
Cost : Dependent on family size and income.

Open Recreation
Monday through Thursday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. The program is year-round and open to
elementary age children. Activities range from City Artways
classes to library and computer clubhouse.

Computer Clubhouse
A learning environment where young people explore their own interests through the use of technology. Created in partnership with Intel Corporation and the Boston Museum of Science. For more information on activities and hours, please visit the program website, here.

IHC Neighborhood Clinic
The IHC Neighborhood Clinic provides health care to children and adults. Services include: treatment for minor illnesses and injuries; immunizations; and treatment for diabetes and asthma.
Cost : Fees are charged on a sliding scale; also accept CHIP, Medicaid, Medicare and private insurance.

Steiner West Swimming Pool
Offers lap swimming, open plunge, diving, water aerobics for adults and senior citizens, swimming lessons, Water Safety Instruction (WSI), Lifeguard Training (LGT), and other water activities.
Cost : 3 years and under: Free; 4-12 years: $1.00, Adult: $2.00
