YouthCity Employment
YouthCity Employment provides employment training and
internship opportunities for young people between the ages of 14-18. Youth must reside in Salt Lake City. Selected participants will be eligible to receive a cost of living stipend upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.

Connections Youth Mentorship
Program:
This course, developed in
partnership with West High School, is designed to teach
essential business, services, communication and leadership
skills while preparing you for a student-lead internship in
spring

Farmers' Market Youth Apprenticeship:
The Farmers' Market Youth Apprenticeship is a unique opportunity for high school students living in Salt Lake City to learn about the business community. Over the summer, youth apprentices will learn employment skills by working directly with the Downtown Alliance to provide services at the Downtown Farmers’ Market for visitors and staff. Participants will also visit and speak with members of the business community to learn about their role in Salt Lake City.

YouthCity Arts Apprenticeship Program:
Students in the 2009 Summer Arts Apprenticeship program will
work with various groups in the community and create promotional
materials during an eight week program. June 15 – August
6, 2009.

YouthCity Summer Teacher Assistant Program:
YouthCity Summer Programs will select 10 youth apprentices to assist with YouthCity Summer Programs at Fairmont Park, Liberty Park, Ottinger Hall, and Central City. Assistants will work with 5th to 8th grade students. The apprenticeship will run from June
15 – August 7, 2009.

YouthCity Employment helps teens with resume writing, interview preparation, job searches, and more. The program has four components:
Youth Job Fairs : Events that connect young people with dozens of employers who are ready to hire.
Job Training and Placement : Participants' skills and interests are evaluated and then matched to appropriate employers or internships.
Workplace Mentoring : One-on-one job coaching, work site tours and job shadowing with real-world professionals.
